Common Name The Many Leaved Habenaria - in China Lian zuo yu feng hua

Flower Size

Found in southern Yunnan and southern Guangxi provinces of China in forests along rivers at elevations of 700 to 1600 meters as a small to just medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with cylindric-oblong tubers giving rise to an erect, terete, stout stem with 1 to 2 tubular, basal sheaths and carrying 4 to 10, more or less in a rosette, linear-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, contracted below intothe aplexicaul base leaves becoming bract-like above, that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, 2.4 to 6.8" [6 to to 17 cm] long, 10 to 25 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, basal ones nearly as long as the ovary, acuminate floral bracts and carrying yellowish green to white flowers.
