Found in Matto Grosso state of Brazil in humid fields and along rivers as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a sinuous, leafy stem carrying well spaced, erect basally clasping, more or less adpressed tothe stem, lanceolate, acute to acuminate leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, 4 to 4.8" [10 to 12 cm] long, 6 to 7 flowered inflorescence with oblong, acute, as long as the pedicel floral bracts.
