Found in coastal India under bushes and rocky crevices in moist deciduous and dry deciduous forests at elevations of 500 to 600 meters as a small to medium sized, warm growing terrestrial with 3 to 5, rather fleshy, orbicular-elliptic, adpressed to the ground leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, erect, densely many flowered inflorescence carrying very fragrant flowers
