Found in southern Madagascar in deciduous woodlands on sand at elevations of 500 to 800 meters as a medium sized, warmgrowing terrestrial with obovate, glossy bright green leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence
