Common Name Urban's Habenaria [German Botanist in Brazil 1800's]

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in Minas Gerias state of Brazil in grasslands as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, stem enveloped mostly by leafbearing sheaths carrying lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, acute to apiculate, carinate dorsally leaves that blooms in the late spring and summer on an erect, 2.4 to 4.4" [6 to 11 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with lanceoalte, acuminate, longer than the ovary floral bracts.
