Common Name The Single Flowered Hancockia - In China Dian Lan
Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]
Found in southern Yunnan province of China, Japan, Ryukyu Islands and Vietnam in montane forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with loosely arranged on the rhizome, narrowly cylindric pseudobulbs carrying single, apical, elliptic-ovate to ovate-lanceolate, papery, acute, subrounded below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a.8" [2 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with basal membraneous tubular sheaths and cymbiform floral bracts.
