Common Name The Hollowed Out Lip Herminium - In China Tiao ye jiao pan lan

Found in Yunnan province of China in hillside forests and grassy slopes at elevations of 1500 to 2800 metrs as a mini-miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with ovoid to ovoid-oblong tubers giving rise to an erect stem provided with 2 basal, tubular sheaths and carrying a larger basal, linear leaf that blooms in the later summer on an erect, peduncle with 2 to 7 bract-like leaflets, rachis .6 to 4.4" [1.5 to 11 cm] long, [2.8 to 10.8" [7 to 27 cm] long overall, many flowered inflorescence with ovate, shorter thna the ovary floral bracts
