Found in Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Gulf of Guinea Islands, Gabon, Cameroon, Congo, Zaire, Tanzania and Madagascar in forests at elevations around 700 to 1000 meters as a small sized, warm growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying towards the middle, acute, rounded to subcordate basally, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later summer and earlier fall on an erect, to 8" [20 cm] long, overall, rachis 2.4" [6 cm] long, 3 to 20 flowered inflorescence carrying green and white, resupinate flowers.
