Found in New Guinea in lowland forests in humus at elevations of 150 to 400 meters as a medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with erect stems carrying erect, obliquely ellitical, glabrous, acuminate, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the early spring on an erect, elongate to 8" [20 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, glandulous, puberlous floral bracts
