Flower Size .3" [.75 cm]

Found in south and southeastern Europe, Aegean Islands; Turkey, Israel, Iraq and Iran in thickets, maquis, open oak/pinewoods at elevations up to 1500 meters as a small to large sized, cool growing terrestrial with up to 8 basal leaves and blooms in the later spring and early summer on an erect, very lax, 8 to 40 flowered inflorescence.

Said by many references to be synomonous with H caprinum but I have left them separate for now.
