Found in New Guinea at elevations around 100 to 300 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a woody, elongated rhizome giving rise to branching stems carrying 4, yellowish green, thick, fleshy, slightly rounded towards the middle, linear leaves that blooms in the late spring through fall on a pallid yellow, to 6" [15 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence

Schlechter states that the orchid often forms large mats on old tree trunks and large thick branches and from these mats arise the pallid yellow inflorescence.
