Common Name The Mt Elgon Holothrix [A Kenyan Mountain]

Found in Kenya and Uganda in upland grasslands at elevations of 3000 to 3900 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with 2, basal, unequal, ellipticalto orbicular-reniform, sparsely hairy on the upper surface, the margins hairier leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, secund, pubescent, several to many flowered inflorescence with lanceoalte, acuminate, longer than the ovary, densely hairy floral bracts and carrying white to cream, sometimes pink flushed flowers
