Found in southern and southwestern Cape Province South Africa in fynbos and dry scrub at elevations of 15 to 900 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a slender, minutely and thinly hairy stem carrying thinly hairy above, withered at blooming leaves that blooms in the spring through summer on an erect, to 11.6" [29 cm] long, lax, many flowered inflorescence.
