Found in southern Vietnam in dry evergreen, coastal, tropical, monsoon rainforetests at elevations of 50 to 150 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short, unbranched, erect stem enveloped by loosely adpressed, imbricate, distichous, more or less rigid leaf sheaths carrying 3 to 5, distichous, rigid, subulate, canaliculate below, terete towards the apex, acute, recurved to arcuate to slightly flexuous, articulate basally, suddenly broadening at the base into the sheath leaves that blooms in the winter and early spring on an axillary, racemose, peduncle green, erect, rigid, .8 to 2" [2 to 5 cm] long, provided with 1 to 3, short, small, broadly triangular, obtuse, sterile bracts, rachis rigid, .8 to 2.4" [2 to 6 cm] long, distant, 1 to rarely 14 flowered inflorescence with small, erect, triangular to broadly ovate, acute, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying resupinate, shallowly campanulate to widely opening flowers.
