Found in western and southwestern Cape Province South Africa in dry scrub at elevations of 150 to 900 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with round, hairless leaves that blooms in the later winter through mid spring on an erect, terminal, minutely, thinly pubescent, to 12" [30 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence.
