Common Name or Meaning The Diffent Lip Chaubardia

Found in Ecuador and Peru at altitudes of 700 to 1500 meters medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with short, tufted, leafy stems carrying distichous, spreading, oblanceolate, acute or shortly acuminate, plicate leaves that are articulated into the conduplicate, elongate sheaths below that blooms in the spring and summer on a basal, axillary, erect, 2 3/4" to 6" [7 to 15 cm] long, solitary flowered inflorescence that has a tubular bract below and carrying large flowers.
