Found in New Guinea in forests on trees at elevations around 1200 meters as a miniature to just small sized, cool growing epiphyte with an elongate, densely leafy stem carrying linear-ligulate, apiculate, apically serrate-dentate margined leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a short, few flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute floral bracts.

Schlechter stated that the flowers are pale yellow with a green lip lamina.
