Common Name The Intricate Jumellea
Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]
Found in central and northwestern Madagascar in lichen rich, montane forests at elevations around 1600 to 2000 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing epiphtye with numerous, branched and tangled stems carrying many, ligulate-linear, equally and obtusely bilobed apically, contracted, pleated basally leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, beneath the leaves, peduncle 1,2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] long, thin, clad in the lower third by 5 tubular sheaths, 4" [10 cm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence
