Found in Peru in moderately wet forests at elevations around 1470 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to a short stem carrying in a loose fan, a few, distichous, linear-lanceolate, articulated below into the base leaves that blooms in the summer through mid-fall on 1 to 3, axillary, thin, ascending, to 2" [5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with 2 subtending, 1, loose, ovate, acute the others ligulate and shorter bracts.
