Found in Ecuador and Peru in wet montane cloud forests at elevations around 1900 meters as a small sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with thin textured, condulicate, lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms sporadically throughout the year on an erect, 1.6" [4 cm] long, with 2 or 3 bracts, single flowered inflorescence .
