Found in Colombia at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a a fan of narrowly oblanceolate, conduplicate, acute narrowing below into the sheath base leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a semi-erect to pendant, provided with 2 to 3, elliptic, infundibuliform, acute bracts, 1.2 to 1.8" [3 to 4.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with 2, elliptic, acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
