Common Name Villena's Kefersteinia [Ecuadorian co-discoverer of species current]

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Peru as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte occuring in wet montane forests in deep shade at elevations around 1100 meters with a fan shaped growth made up of conduplicate, imbricating, leaf-bearing sheaths each carrying lanceolate, acute, tapered to slender, conduplicate below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms any time of the year on an axillary, lax, 1.6" [4 cm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence encased by 3 to 4 scarious, imbricating basal bracts.

Similar to K escobariana but it has long trichomes on the ventral surface of the column and K villenae does not.
