Found in northern Taiwan, south Korea and Japan on mossy slopes of
broadleaf forest at elevations around 1100 meters as a mini-miniature sized cool growing terrestrial with a rhizome giving rise to an erect, terte, glabrous stem carrying 2 to 3, ovate, acute, greenish-brown, shiny, reddish-brown underneath, rounded below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, slender, loosely hairy, 1 to rarely 2 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, reddish brown, haiory outside, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
