Found in the Philippines in mossy forests at elevations of 1400 to 2000 meters as a cool to cold growing terrestrial with an erect to ascending, basally leafy stem carrying 5 to 7, ovate-lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a terminal, erect, hairy, with 5 dry, membraneous, lanceolate bracts and a racemose, crowded, short, few to several flowered inflorescence
