Flower Size 2" [5 cm]
Found in Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama at elevations of 1200 to 1650 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial on steep embankments or as an epiphyte on fallen trees with elliptic pseudobulbs partially enveloped basally by several scarious, triangular sheaths and carrying 2 to 3 apical, plicate, narrowly elliptic, acuminate, petiolate, deciduous leaves that blooms in the spring on a lateral, pendant, 12 to 20" [30 to 50 cm] long, racemose, several to many flowered inflorescence arising with a new growth and carrying fragrant flowers
