Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil on rocky outcrops at elevations around 1425 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing saxicolus terrestrial with an inconspicuous rhizome giving rise to clear green, obclavate pseudobulbs enveloped by green, papery, deciduous sheaths and carrying a single, dark green, erect, coriaceous, elliptic, cannoe-shaped, apiculate, conduplicate into the base leaf that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, arising through a green, transluscent, linear-truncate, oblique spathe, rachis, short, green, cylindrical, to 1.68" [4.2 cm] long, simultaneously 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence and carrying yellow flowers held in the upper third of the inflorescence.
