Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevations around 1100 to 1300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing rupicolous lithophyte with cylindrical shaped, reddish pseudobulbs carrying a single, reddish tinged leaf that blooms in the winter in Brazil on a terminal, erect becoming arcuate, much longer than the leaf, to 12" [to 30 cm] long, few to several flowered inflorescence holding the flowers towards the apex,
