Common Name Neves' Laelia [Brazilian Orchid Enthusiast current]

Flower Size 2.2" [5.5 cm]

Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil forests at elevations around 1030 meters as a miniature [without inflorescence] sized, cool growing, caespitose lithoterrestrial with an inconspicuous rhizome giving rise to articulate, obclavate, elongated pseudobulbs enveloped bsally by deciduous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, elliptic-lanceolate, conduplicate below into the base leaf that blooms in the winter on a terminal, through a linear-truncate, oblique spathe, racemose, peduncle 16" [46 cm] long, rachis 4" [10 cm] long, simultaneously 6 or so flowered inflorescence.
