Common Name Pfister's Laelia [German Orchid Nurseryman 1900's]
Flower Size .88" [2.2 cm]
Found in Bahia state of Brazil at elevations around 1300 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing rupicolus orchid that grows in an area with cactus that has a dry spell between December and July and is rare there in nature as well as cultivation with pear-shaped pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, narrowly elliptic, somewhat conduplicate, leathery leaf and blooms in the spring on an erect, provided with several triangular sheaths, 12" [30 cm] long, successively single, up to 8 flowered inflorescence.
