Found in the Ryukyu Islands as a small sized, cool to cold growing mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with an elongate, simple to occasionally branched, erect, thin, dark brown stem with a few, remotely squamate, deltoid bracts that blooms on a to 12" [30 cm] long peduncle and a rachis that is 1" [2.5 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence.
