Common Name The Sikkim Lecanorchis

Flower Size .4 to .56" [1 to 1.4 cm]

Found in Sikkim and Bhutan in river valleys in shade at elevations of 1980 to 2100 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a coiled, woody rhizome giving rise to an erect, slender, ridged, narrowing towards the apex, glabrous stem the basal half enveloped by glabrous, tubular sheaths, upper half with distant, deltoid, acute, glabrous bracts that blooms in the later spring on a laxly 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence with short, ovate, acute, glabrous, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying semi-open, campanulate flowers
