Flower Size .4 to .72" [1 to 1.8 cm]
Found in Laos and Vietnam in primary broad-leaved evergreen forests along ridge tops and mountain tops at elevations of 300 to 1600 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing leafless mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with a slender, dark brown-purple to nearly black stem with many small distant bracts that blooms in the mid winter and spring on an erect, simple to branching, rachis zig-zag, lax, terminal, few flowered inflorescence with small ovateoobtuse, glabreous floral bracts and carrying sessile, barely opening, campanulate flowers
