Common Name or Meaning The Prominent Chin Lepanthes [refers to the large appendix]

Found in Narino department of Colombia in cloud forests at elevations around 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphtye with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 4 to 6, ciliate, lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect to suberect, narrowly ovate, acute, cuneate below into the short, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a slender, erect, .6 to .75" [1.5 to 1.7 cm] long including the .4 to .48" [1 to 1.2 cm] long peduncle, congested, distichous, successively single, many flowered inflorescence arising on top of the leaf.
