Found in eastern Cundinamarca department of Colombia in cloud forests at elevations around 2850 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with suberect to erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 9 hirsute, lepanthiform sheaths with dilated ostia and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, purple suffused beneath, elliptical, acute, triapiculate apically, cuneate below into the base leaf that blooms in the late spring on a longer than the leaf, flaccid, filiform, arcuate, 2 to 2.4" [5 to 6 cm] long including the 1.6" [4 cm] long peduncle, lax, successively single, many flowered inflorescence
