Found in Huanuco department of Peru without locational data as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with proportionally stout, erect ramicauls enveloped by 8 to 10, microscopically ciliate leapanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, purple suffused bebeath, narrowly ovate, acute, cuneate and caontracted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later summer on an erect, borne behind the leaf, peduncle .8" [2 cm] long, rachis .6" [1.5 cm] long, congested, secund, successively single, several flowered inflorescence with shorter than teh pedicel floral bracts. ,
"Characterized by elliptical-ovate leaves slightly longer than the several-flowered raceme; a broadly ovate dorsal sepal, and a similar, but shortly bifid synsepal; bilobed petals with the opposite lobes with rounded ends about equal; and ovate blades of the lip that surround the short, thick column."
