Found in Zamora-Chinchipe province of Ecuador at elevations around 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 9 to 10, ciliate, lepanthiform sheaths with widely dilated ostia and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, ovate, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a filiform, congested, .4" [1 cm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising on the back of the leaf.
