Common Name The Similar to L confusa Lepanthes

Found in Bocas del Toro province of Panama at elevations around 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing. caespitose epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 6, microscopically scabrous, dark brown, lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, reticulated, broadly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a filiform, arising behind the leaf, racemose, congested, distichous, to 1.6" [4 cm] long, successively many flowered inflorescence with a shorter than the pedicel floral bract.
"Similar to L confusa but differs in the glabrous sepals and a narrow body of the lip witha setifrm appendix. Vegetatively they differ markedly. L confusoides ids ditinguished by the long peduncle that bears the very cngested raceme near or beyond the apex of a reticulated leaf." Luer 1999
