Found in Los Rios province of Ecuador at elevations around 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicauls enveloped by 7 to 8, lepanthiform sheaths with ciliate ostia and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly ovate, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a slender, congested, .12 to .16" [3 to 4 cm] long, including the .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long peduncle, successively single, few flowered inflorescence.
