Found in Costa Rica in lower montane cloud forests at elevations around 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, pendant, cool growing epiphtye with pendant ramicauls enveloped completely by 3 to 6, lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly elliptical, acute, gradually narrows below into the cuneate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a short successively single, few flowered inflorescence holding the flower on the front of the leaf.
