Found in Colombia at elevations around 2400 to 2500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 9 to 10, minutely ciliate lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptic, subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer on a subdense, distichous, flexuous, 1.48 to 1.72" [3.7 to 4.3 cm] long including the [2.2 to 2.8 cm] long peduncle, successively single several flowered inflorescence holding the flower just beyond the leaf.
