Found in Guatemala at elevations around 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 6, brown, microscopically dentate sheaths with acuminate, dentate ostia and carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong to elliptical, tridenticulate apically, narrowing below intothe petiollate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a distichous, 1.4 to 5.8" [3.5 to 14.5 cm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescnece that is longer than the leaf
