Found in Norte de Santander department of Colombia at elevations around 2750 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 4, close ciliate lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute to obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later summer on a, filiform, flexible, flexuous, longer than the leaf, 3.6" [9 cm] long including the .8" [2 cm] long peduncle, successively single, several flowered inflorescence with echinate floral bracts.
