Found in Venezuela, Colombia and Bolivia at 2400 to 2500 meters in dense forests as a miniature, cold growing epiphyte with ramicauls enveloped basally by 6 tubular, lepanthiform sheaths carrying oval leaves with clasping bases, and bidentate apex and blooms in the spring on an erect, 3 3/5" [9 cm] long, successively few flowered inflorescence arising from the apex of the ramicaul and having acuminate floral bracts.
