Found in Peru as a miniature sized epiphyte with an erect ramicaul enveloped by 7 to 8, tubular-cylindric, minutely hispidulous sheaths with dilated, minutely hispidulous ostia and carrying a single, apical, erect, ligulate, obtusely tridenticulate apex, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on 1 to 3, erect, to 2.2" [to 5.5 cm] long, densely many flowered, to as long as the leaf, racemose inflorescence
