Found in Tolima and Quindio departments of Colombia in cloud forests at elevations around 3200 to 3300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, relatively stout ramicauls enveloped by 5 to 6, lepanthiform sheaths with ciliate ostia and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, purple suffused beneath, ovate, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late winter and spring on a filiform, loose, to 1.4" [3.5 cm] long including the .4" [1 cm] long peduncle, successively single, few flowered inflorescence that is shorter than the leaf.
