What is sold as L longiracemosa not!! should be with a short peduncle with longer rachis, short pediceled, elongating inflorescence carrying single flowers with yellow sepals, ochre, almost arcuate and evenly proportioned top to bottom petals, clear purple lip and a rose colored column and a very triangular shape to the flower

Common Name The Long Racemose Lepanthes - In Venezuela The Grimace Lepanthes

Flower Size .16" [4 mm]

Found in Aragua state of Venezuela in dwarf cloud forests at elevations around 1700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped completely by 3 to 5, inflated minutely ciliate apically, acute lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, suborbicular to ovoid, obtuse, abruptly narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a 2" [5 cm] long, flexuous, successively several flowered inflorescence with triangular, acute floral bracts.

CAUTION!!!!!!!! I feel that the photo determination above is definitely incorrect so please use with caution. It does not conform at all to Foldats or Dunsterville & Garay's drawings from Venezuela, see also note with photo caption above CAUTION!!!!
