Found in Panama in cloud forests at elevations around 2300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphtye with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 4 to 9 lepanthiform sheaths with dilated, ciliate ostia and carrying a single, erect, elliptic, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on 1 to 2, erect, terete, peduncle filiform, 1.2 to 1.76" [3 to 4.5 cm] long, rachis 1.6" [4 cm] long, successively single, several flowered inflorescence with lightly muricate floral bracts.
