Found in Cundinamarca department of Colombia at elevations of 2200 to 2900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with pendant, repent rhizomes giving rise to abbreviated ramicauls concealed by a long-spiculate lepanthiform sheath and carrying a single, apical, descending, fleshy, elliptical, acute apically, 3 veined, corrugate, villous leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, slender, .04" [1 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
