Found in Bolivia in wet montane cloud forests at elevations around 1650 to 2100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 5 to 6 microscopically scabrous leapanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, narrolwy ovate, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring through later summer on a filiform, congested, distichous, .6 to .68" [1.5 to 1.7 cm] long including the .32 to .4" [8 to 10 mm] long peduncle, successively single, several flowered inflorescence arising on the back of the leaf with minutely muriculate floral bracts
