Found in The Dominican Republic at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls envelopepd by 7, cornucopiate, marginate, acute, ciliate margined lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptic-lanceolate, minutely denticulate margin, acute, tridenticulate apically, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on to 4, capillary, distally distichous, dense, successively single to 20 flowered inflorescence that is much shorter than the leaf.
"Very close to the incompletely know L mornicola but this one is characterized by the small habit with a short, congested raceme borne behind a\n ovate leaf by a very short peduncle. The sepals are narrowly triangular and acute. The lobes of the small petals are oblong, obtus and opposite. The blades of the labellum ae mere thickenings of the margins of broad, luneate lobes and the appendix is small, ovoid and pubescent." Ackerman 2014
